What’s the real reason you want a certain physical transformation? As she points out, the body is simply a home for your spirit. Therefore, she’s passionate about helping her clients find joyful, sustainable, and intuitive habits that will allow them to show up in life embodying their fullest, most optimized expression.
Marci is a health + fitness coach, founder of Fun & Sustainable Fitness, author of The Accountability Code, reality T.V. star for Ace In The Hole, and mother of four girls. Her own journey from getting married at 18, suffering from postpartum depression, and battling a long lineage of mental health in her family, Marci was determined to make a change. As a master of well-being working with numerous clients, she quickly realized that what she was teaching in health and fitness was a direct translation into other areas of life too. On the show, she shares how this realization sparked a more holistic approach in her practice and how she’s now committed to guiding her clients as a result.

This conversation draws upon the strong parallels we’re seeing today and why it’s so important to understand the history behind these ideas as not to blindly imbibe the mass action lines. Tom points out the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” ideology streamed within the illusive belief that a nation can legislate itself into utopia. Sabo is a right-winged guerilla artist active in Los Angeles. He studied art at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. He’s been practicing street art since 1999, becoming well-known in the mainstream around 2016 for his controversial political posters targeting Hillary Clinton. Prior to his career as an artist, Sabo was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Today, he’s still active in the creative scene and using his gift to demonstrate high levels of patriotism.

Nils was a former soldier, conducting clandestine security, border and counterinsurgency operations. In 1992, he became a licensed private detective. As an agent of the Pinkerton Organization and later operating the Grevillius Detective Service, Nils has conducted kidnapping, robbery, homicide, assault, hijacking, extortion, workplace theft, mass tort, and conflict of interest investigations for a variety of clients. Nils is also a published author, currently working on his next book!

In this episode, Courtenay and David share an open, heartwarming discussion about the importance of building awareness for brain injuries and other mental health challenges.
David beautifully shares with listeners his life journey and evolution lined with grace, humility, and compassion. Having suffered from multiple head injuries, spending a majority of his years in rehab, all while balancing being a father, David’s perseverance is an inspiration to many.
David is a former farmer and trucker who at the age of 23 encountered the first brain injury that propelled him into a series of four more major head injuries. As a result, he develops severe debilitating panic attacks and battled with thoughts of suicide. One of his therapists, Sylvia, showed him the beauty of grace and profoundly said: “David, you have a story inside you that you need to get out.”
Ever since, David has made it his purpose and mission to speak out about his struggles and survival with depression and post-concussion syndrome. He hopes that in doing so he can provide help and inspiration to those going through similar circumstances and to build overall public awareness.
